Money and Prosperity
A
request for help with money. I have a
simple one that you can all try and found another one; try the one that speaks
to you.
Money
is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for
goods and services and repayment of debts in a particular country or
socio-economic context. The use of
barter-like methods may date back to at least 100,000 years ago, though there
is no evidence of a society or economy that relied primarily on barter. The word 'money' is believed to originate from
a Temple of Hera, located on Capitoline, one of Rome's seven hills. In the ancient world, Hera was often
associated with money.
There
is no spell that I know of that you can work that will have money just fall out
of the sky. In other words, you work the
spell and are rich the next day may not happen.
However if anyone has one please share!
In
parts of the Ozarks, it is believed that you'll soon receive a letter with
money in it if a honey bee buzzes around your head. There's a legend in some parts of Appalachia
that if you burn onion peels rather than just throwing them away, you'll never
be poor. In Voodoo and Hoodoo, burning
green candles anointed with money-drawing incense works well, and if you own a
business, money oil is a good way to increase your abundance. In ancient Rome, prostitutes figured out that
carrying a lodestone as an amulet would attract the wealthier clients. And in feng shui, the area connected to your
money or financial prosperity and abundance, is the southeast area of your
home.
A
spell is a vehicle for the accessing, control, and sending of magical energy. It is geared to tap into the energy, order it
according to the spell's purposes, and send it toward its goal. The technology of spell casting ranges from
simple to Byzantine in complexity. There
is a basic procedure for doing the work. You must determine which type of energy is
needed to fulfill the need. In the Old
Norse Tradition, we generally classify magical energies according to three
classifications: the Elements, the Runes and the Gods. Thus, if money is needed, you could access
from the Fe Rune, which is the force behind wealth. You may choose to align with Elemental Earth,
as finance is one of its myriad attributes. You could also invoke any of the deities whose
province includes bestowing wealth and good fortune.
In
all seriousness there is a debate on money spells being ethical to work as
Wiccans. If you are looking for money to
be comfortable, for example to help with your mortgage, get an education etc, I
believe there is enough universal energy to go around. In ancient times Pagans did spells to help with
their crops, livestock, etc. In modern
times not many of us have this to provide an income. Those being said don't expect checks to miraculously
appear in the mail. They may; however
also be aware that it may be delivered to you in form of an opportunity. Someone may call you and say they will pay
you to do something for them for example.
And as the balance swings, it also means that there may be consequences,
someone dies and you inherit the money.
Remember, as long as you are willing to accept the consequences, do as
you will.
Before
you begin, sit and think about what you want money for, maybe you need money to
pay an expensive bill, fix your car or allow you to go on a well needed
holiday. In general specifically asking
for money is likely to be more successful if you do need the money rather than
if you just want to go on a spending binge. If your finances are generally low then asking
for abundance and prosperity can turn things around. As with all spells and spell casters,
sometimes spells don’t work. Once you’ve
cast your spell, have faith and try not to worry about it as this may send
negative energies which can interfere with spells, but if after a couple of
months you don’t see any results, don’t be discouraged and try again – it
happens to all of us.
The universe will give you
what you need to be comfortable if you allow the universal energies. So before we work any spell you must give
yourself permission to receive abundance.
You can do this with a daily affirmation to start. For example, I give myself permission to
receive the abundance and prosperity that I deserve.
You
must make sure that it is your intention and will to receive money. In other words, it's not enough to say I want
money. If there's a little voice nagging
saying you won't receive it, you won't. Another
reason why the affirmation is helpful. It
is also helpful to meditate on it. Take
some time in deep breathing and imagine yourself surrounded by the comforts
that you wish or what you wish to use the money for. For instance if you are short on the mortgage
payment envision that mortgage bill paid.
How you feel. What it looks like
to see it marked paid. Believe it will
happen. This helps to set your intention.
You
may also want to pick up a piece of aventurine. Use it during your meditation and focus your
thoughts on it. You can place it on your
alter when you cast your spell. Keep the
crystal on you during the time period you are working the spell and after that
if you wish to help bring prosperity to you.
One
Norse money spell requires inscribing three Fehu Runes on a twig such as cedar
or birch. The carved Runes are then
colored with ink, paint or a marker. The
twig is held in the hand and charged; imagine magical force streaming into it
from your hand. A charm is spoken three
times. The twig is then carried on your
person, placed in your office or on your altar.
Tiger's eye can also be used for wealth and protection. Cinnamon for wealth, love, energy and
healing. Gold color for wealth and
protection. Purple color for wisdom,
mysteries, wealth, grandeur and justice. Or even use tin for wealth and honor. The Norse Ancestors would have used what they
had. Try to use what you have or are
drawn to you.
Simple Pagan Candle Money Spell
You need:
- A green candle
- A white candle
- Ritual oil
This may be done at any time, but
preferably the same time each day and night.
The green candle represents the money and the white candle represents
you. Make sure you anoint the candles
with oil first thinking of your desire for money to come to you. Set the candles on your altar or table 9
inches apart. After doing this say:
"Money,
money come to me
In
abundance three times three
May
I be enriched in the best of ways
Harming
none on its way
This
I accept, so mote it be.
Bring
me money three times three!"
Repeat this for nine days. Each day move the white candle one inch
closer to the green candle. When the
candles touch each other your spell is finished. Make sure you visualize the money pouring in
from the universe.

In Norse mythology, Skadi is a jotunn and Goddess
associated with bow hunting, skiing, winter and mountains. Skadi
lives in the highest reaches of the mountains, where the snow never melts. She is often depicted
hunting while on skis/ snowshoes or on a snow-capped mountain. She is the present wife of Uller and the
former wife of the Vanic God Njord.
